Back about 4 years ago while I was doing some research on a disease know as melodious, a very dangerous disease prevalent to Vietnam and of interest to most Vietnam Veterans I came across the web site for the Army's Biological and Chemical Warfare Lab. As I scanned the pages, I began to realize that our government has been experimenting with this disease as a possible biological warfare agent. That was when I happened to stumble upon the Army's research into the possibilities of using anthrax as a biological agent. At that time the Army claimed that anthrax had several flaws that made it a very poor or at best a very unlikely biological agent.

First and most important is the fact that it is mostly deadly to livestock. In this country, every farmer vaccinates their live stock against anthrax. Then the Army determined that as a biological warfare agent, the most deadly form of the disease, is killed easily by the ultraviolet rays of the sun. Meaning that it could not be spread by a low flying plane or from the open window of a car during daylight hours. As I continued reading, I learned that the Army experienced three "accidental" spills of this most deadly form of anthrax between 1996 and 2000. One in Texas at the Army's bio-tech lab, one in Florida as a culture was being shipped to a private lab and one in Maryland at the Army's Biological Warfare Lab. While the Army admitted to several hundred dead animals due to these "accidental" spills there were no human fatalities and no one was reported to have been made sick from this most deadly form of anthrax.

Several weeks later I learned about the Clinton Administration?s plans to inoculate all of our troops against anthrax and I went back to the Army's Biological Warfare Lab's web site and I published their findings and asked the question if anthrax in its most deadly form is not deadly to humans then why should we vaccinate our troops against it? Within hours, the web sites I had links to vanished as the Clinton Administration demanded that our troops be vaccinated against anthrax. I then went to the World Health Organization looking for some answers to this question. I learned that between 1960 and the year 2000 only 110 active cases of anthrax in humans were reported worldwide. Of those reported cases, only 100 people had actually died of anthrax mostly in Africa where medical care is at its lowest levels. Of those who died were the elderly suffering from malnutrition and/or some other disease and newborns suffering from malnutrition and/or some other disease. The article went on to state that if the victims had received proper nutrition and medical care they would not have died from anthrax. That link was also killed within hours after I put a link to it.

The May 1999 issue of Vanity Fair reveals the results of a study that found the presence of squalene, a highly toxic adjuvant that does not have FDA approval, in the blood of those military personnel who have received the anthrax vaccine. Squalene has been found to be deadly to humans and has already cost the lives of nearly 100 Military Personnel while injuring thousands more.

Therefore, if anthrax is not a hazard to humans and the vaccine has been proven to be hazardous to humans then why is the government so intent on pushing an anthrax scare on the general public?
